"The problem with these HE washers is they don't put in enough water to do a wash. But you can trick them to use more water. Simply put in your clothes, then add in about 2 quarts of water on the clothes. This makes the clothes heavy and the machine tests and thinks it has a heavier load and then uses more water. It works every time. This particular machine doesn't have many options like the later models, but does do a good job when it uses enough water."

"This washing machine does take time to understand but certainly cleans the clothes with less water and detergent.
The cycles are longer than our old Kenmore washer.

"I originally bought this machine because I live in an old rehabbed row home with narrow stairs to the basement and this model fit. However, I was surprised on how great it washes clothes. My previous machine was a front loading machine which I was not impressed with. This machine washes my clothes great even when I don't use the extra water option. It's a shame they are discontinuing it. There's a lot of people in my neighborhood struggling to find washing machines that can fit down their stairs."

"I have had this washer for about a month. I love the water savings and detergent savings. I question the electrical savings since it runs about 15 minutes longer than my previous machines. My clothes appear to be clean and certainly fairly dry. This saves energy on drier use. I have long arms and can just reach the bottom. I wish it had a flat top, though."
